I'm going to get a wireless DSL router today -- does anyone have any strong recommendations or strong warnings? (New iBook G4, Airport Extreme card.)
The one I'm looking at is the Belkin wireless-G broadband router. Opinions?

Got a question about technology? Ask it here. Discussion of hardware, software, TiVos, multi-region DVDs, Windows, Macs, LINUX, hand-helds, iPods, anything tech related. Better than any helpdesk!

amy, I have gmail! A wonderful buffista gave me one back in June. But I was still on the gmail waiting list. :-)
Ah, gotcha. I'm glad to hear it -- I hated to think that you were waiting and waiting and waiting while other people were desperate to offload the things.
I did it. I bought a 42" Plasma TV. It's been delivered and is setup.
I think I'm in love.
We all hate you now.
Well, I don't have a Mac Mini to hook up to it.
Yet.
Hating ND even more.
We all hate you now.
Tsk tsk, Tom. I think sour grapes is a much more adult way of handling this situation.
"I've heard that Plasma TVs suck, and that LCD is so much better."
See? Of course, the above statement might not be true. Better try something else:
"Plasma TVs cause cancer."
OK, that can work. Or better still:
"Plasma TVs cause impotence."
Anyone want a 12 year old 27" Toshiba TV?
I'm thinking about a 26" LCD TV for my bedroom. But I doubt I'll be able to get that until later this summer. Unless some more really good contracts come through.

Nah, I'm on a holy crusade to rid myself of all CRTs. So far, I've conquered the study, but convincing the BF to give up having a TV until we can afford a plasma isn't really getting very far.
(You could keep your old TV and send us the new one. That would solve both our problems.)
(After all, they cause cancer impotence something nasty that you wouldn't want but I'm willing to risk. For the team.)
