So now would not be the time to mention that my Powerbook has to go in for the second time in a year?

All is well that ends in pizza.

Law of averages, man....

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Of the seven Macs I've purchased for my workplace since 1988, four have needed major servicing within three years of purchase. OTOH, my old Powerbook 500C still runs fine, according to the friend I gave it to six years ago.

I'm running on a 7600/132 upgraded to G3/300.

It has never needed major servicing.

5300c in for repair twice. Kanga G3 in for repair once. TiBook in for repair twice. My desktops...many many of them...have never needed a repair.

May I recommend a hot corner? I like the bottom right corner. Once you're addicted, you'll yell at every other computer EVER.

Strawberry disappointment.

So I've downloaded and tried four different Ulead GIF animators, inculding a legit free trial download, and they all setup fine, but when the programme is loading it reaches the "Initial video I/O" and crashes. Same problem each time. Any ideas?

Running XP Pro. (not sp2)

Trust my rage

May I recommend a hot corner? I like the bottom right corner.

That's how I set mine up too. One in the left corner and one in the right corner. I am so addicted, but the best part is when people who don't know it's set up that way get nauseous from all the windows sliding around.
