Of the seven Macs I've purchased for my workplace since 1988, four have needed major servicing within three years of purchase. OTOH, my old Powerbook 500C still runs fine, according to the friend I gave it to six years ago.

It has never needed major servicing.
5300c in for repair twice. Kanga G3 in for repair once. TiBook in for repair twice. My desktops...many many of them...have never needed a repair.

May I recommend a hot corner? I like the bottom right corner. Once you're addicted, you'll yell at every other computer EVER.

So I've downloaded and tried four different Ulead GIF animators, inculding a legit free trial download, and they all setup fine, but when the programme is loading it reaches the "Initial video I/O" and crashes. Same problem each time. Any ideas?
