Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

There's always another.

Trust my rage

See, there's a few files i'm trying to get that I can't finish. I feel bad for this person who is depending on me.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Thank you!

I am trying to justify to my boss buying Adobe Creative Suite, instead of just illustrator and photoshop. the cost is only $11 different.

Also, does anyone know if there is anyway to convert Quark files to InDesign and vice versa.

We are buying Quark in our office, because our outside designers us this. As the "inside designer" (I do things like programs, tickets, quick ads, etc, while the other people do our brochures) I use InDesign. I like Indesign and feel that the reason I am more limited than the other diesgners is that I am working with no photoshop or illustrator.

ANYWAY, my boss wants me to be able to update and change their designs (which is a little iffy, morally) for a few years to come-- just changing dates, etc

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Quark -> ID is dead easy -- you can usually just open the file and it will convert (with a few caveats, as always). Going the other way, I don't know, but if you're going to be doing a lot of passing work back and forth and not just converting something once and for all, I recommend using the same package.

amych-- thank you. The thing is, I can't get them to open. Is that because my indesign is not the most current?

Oops, nevermind, she has a quark higher than 4.11.

Yeah, that's probably it -- she should be able to save in Quark 4 format, and then you're good to go.

The thing is, I think what we are really trying to do is take business away from her. That is, they want me to be able to update the dates for my paltry slary instread of paying her several hundred dollars. So I don't know how happy she will be to do that!

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I hate it when clients figure out how to do stuff themselves that we used to bill them for do for them....

Thing is, it sort of sucks for both of us. We used to have an in-house designer who did everything. They replaced him with a person who does no graphic design, but instead runs our programs, hires teachers, etc. and went with outside designers (the same one) for all of our graphic design needs

I was his back-up, so I learned how to do simple things, and I am good at it, from working on the newspaper in high school.

When we get the Quark, I will be doing most of the work, based on the woman's designs. Like, she has done a rifold brochure for us for one program, and I will be asked, not just to update dates, but to change the pictures, colors and text to use it for another program-- which just seems stupid to me, I might as well just design the whole brochure if the only part I am using is the layout set-up of the trifold.

Once we get the correct software, I will be doing his job without any more pa

lt's not speedy, but it works. My new Tungsten connects to the web through my cellphone.

That Bluetooth works. But my PC can't see any of its services, although it sees the device.

Graffiti 2 will take some getting used to. "K" is hard.

eta: If anyone can remind me how to have my PC (XP) set up so that I don't hate to tell it in advance to receive Bluetooth transmissions, that'd be great. It used to be that way, and I can't find anywhere to switch it back on.
