It looks like a 17" backpack will cost around $150. I may look into getting a sleeve, if one of my current backpacks is long enough.

A humorous article where the author tries to get various Windows viruses to run under Linux, using Wine (a Windows emulator): [link]
Linux just isn't user-friendly when it comes to viruses. You have to work to find and run them. It doesn't happen automatically as it does with Windows. The GNU/Linux folks really should improve this glaring discrepancy.
have a dumb question. Can anyone tell me what Adobe Acrobat Professional does. As a mac user, I can already create pdf's from everything. Does it let me manipulate them more? Can I make the kind of .pdfs where people can fill in boxes?
Thanks
I have Acrobat, and yes, you can make the kind of PDFs where people can fill in the boxes and you can do some limited direct editing of PDF files.
So in the land of torrenting, if I'm seeding 1 peer, does that mean if I turn it off, said peer will not longer be able to complete the file? I want to shut it down, but I feel this responsibility.
If you shut it down, it'll find someone else. There's always another.
There's always another.
Sez the man who's never had an unsuccessful download.
See, there's a few files i'm trying to get that I can't finish. I feel bad for this person who is depending on me.
Thank you!
I am trying to justify to my boss buying Adobe Creative Suite, instead of just illustrator and photoshop. the cost is only $11 different.
Also, does anyone know if there is anyway to convert Quark files to InDesign and vice versa.
We are buying Quark in our office, because our outside designers us this. As the "inside designer" (I do things like programs, tickets, quick ads, etc, while the other people do our brochures) I use InDesign. I like Indesign and feel that the reason I am more limited than the other diesgners is that I am working with no photoshop or illustrator.
ANYWAY, my boss wants me to be able to update and change their designs (which is a little iffy, morally) for a few years to come-- just changing dates, etc
