If I go to the "Extras" menu, there are Contacts and Calendar listings, but no actual contacts or calendar entries in there.

Got a question about technology? Ask it here. Discussion of hardware, software, TiVos, multi-region DVDs, Windows, Macs, LINUX, hand-helds, iPods, anything tech related. Better than any helpdesk!
I don't suppose there are any XSL gurus about who could help me with a problem?
Not a guru, but I'll give it a shot.
Actually, I got it to work by using '<xsl:choose>' instead of '<xsl:if'. I have no idea why the 'if' didn't work, but I'm under a time constraint so I'm just happy it's working.
Thanks anyway, Tom.
wanting a 250GB to 300GB external HD for keeping all my vids, etc...have done research and now i just feel like banging my head against the wall. *sigh*
the one that comes up all the time in reviews is the Maxtor one touch, but there are bad reviews that mention losing all data or simply stopping working after the 1yr warrenty. the others have crappy backup/software programs.
the "newer" Maxtor II one touch is supposed to be better, but i am not sure how long it has been out, therefore, no user reviews on performance. *sigh*
any suggestions?

Buy a regular hard drive and a drive enclosure to put it in.
eta - Something like this ought to work if you're using USB: [link]
Or this if you're using FireWire: [link]
Add in a hard drive and you're good to go.
I own 5 or 6 of these drives in various sizes. I love them and have had great luck with this company.

That's the one I've got. No problems so far.
thank you, thegrommit, and NoiseDesign, i will check that all out. thanks also to bicyclops for giving a positive review. that makes me feel a bit better.
also, thegrommit, that is a brilliant way to do that and i think way cheaper. i hadnt thought of doing that. cool.
I've owned a Maxtor 5000XT (250 GB) for about 1.5 years and haven't had any trouble with it at all. I just do simple file copying from my laptop to the external, though, so I haven't put it through the paces of performing backups and the like.
