So if I needed more memory for my 12" G4 powerbook, where would I get it, to be cheap but also reliable?

Our wings are not tired

I get most of my memory from Other World Computing. I also really like their firewire hard drives.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Do you think people will really like the shuffle? Don't most (even tiny) mp3 players have a display??

I totally want one. Very much as a second device. I want some of my MP3s in a medium that I can exercise with, and working off my existing iTunes install.

Such a luxury item, but WANT.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I think for less than $100, it's not a luxury item. And if you're gonna get one, think about how you'd be using your money more efficiently if you paid $50 extra to get twice as much memory....

If it costs more than $20 for me to avoid the terrible imposition of carrying my iPod to the gym, I cry luxury.

This in no way means I won't have one in a month or two.

"I have a Prefferred Customer card for the now defunct Pan Am...."

Embrace the idea that we are the leaders we've been looking for. Grace Lee Boggs

Almost makes me want to convert to MAC. Almost.

Want. A. Mini.

Unfortunately, I just bought a new Dell a few months ago, so don't see how I can justify it. It's just so. damn. cute!

Original Airport Cards

Also quietly discontinued in recent weeks is Apple's original AirPort (802.11b) wireless networking card. Sources indicate that the product's discontinuation was brought on by supplier changes. Simply, 802.11b chipset manufacturers have stopped producing the product, having migrated to 802.11g.

Unfortunately, this move has left millions of AirPort-ready Mac users who may have wished to connect wireless in the future hanging. In the process, it's also sharply increased the value of original AirPort cards. Auctions on eBay for used cards without warranties have been closing around $150 in recent weeks for a product that originally cost $100 when new.

Bleargh. Adelphia.net just disconnected me for sharing copyright material. They're going to send me a letter telling me what it was, and if they catch me again, I won't get reinstated the next time. It seems like a third party is making this happen -- he told me I could download if I wanted, I just couldn't share.

Sadly, despite the "reinstatement" my splitter now won't work, so I can have cable TV, or I can have cable internet.

I must remember to switch back to TV before I leave, and put in another support call.
