Bleargh. Adelphia.net just disconnected me for sharing copyright material. They're going to send me a letter telling me what it was, and if they catch me again, I won't get reinstated the next time. It seems like a third party is making this happen -- he told me I could download if I wanted, I just couldn't share.
Sadly, despite the "reinstatement" my splitter now won't work, so I can have cable TV, or I can have cable internet.
I must remember to switch back to TV before I leave, and put in another support call.
A picture of the Mac mini. from 1972!
ita, it's associated with torrenting, then?
Huh.
Tom, that is hysterical!
Now, my question.
Do any of you know anything about Quark?
Currently I use Adobe InDesign, and our "real" designers use Quark, so I cannot update their designs any more.
I know with Indesign, in order to be able to really modify pictures/graphics, I still need photoshop and Illustrator. Is that true with Quark as well, or is it all in one, or are their different programs which are more compatible with Quark.
For some reason all the info I find on Quark seems to assume I already know exactly what it does!
it's associated with torrenting, then?
Pretty sure -- it's the only sort of sharing I do. If it's about what I was sharing at the time they cut me off, Stargate was the culprit. Since I've already grabbed Spooks, I'm not heartbroken, but I am miffed.
Quark can't really modify pictures/graphics. You still need photoshop and Illustrator.
Huh. I was just about to grab SG 814.

That's what I though, but my boss seemed to think this would be cheaper because of not needing photoshop and illustrator?!?
Auctions on eBay for used cards without warranties have been closing around $150 in recent weeks for a product that originally cost $100 when new.
Prices are lower at the moment - there's a lot of new cards for $78 buy-it-now. Which I suppose I'll do.
It is annoying, though. My iBook is only 16 months old - I'd think they'd support that technology a little longer. (OK, the iBook has an Airport card, but not my Cube.)
I asked the folks at a local independent Mac store if they'd consider doing some repairs on my Portable. They were all amazed that I owned such a thing. I think they're excited about the possibility of working on it....
Your boss is on crack, Sophia.
