Dude. Maxing out the RAM on this thing doubles the price. That ain't right.
Never buy memory directly from Apple, overcharge.

It also alleviates the one-button mouse criticism.

Oh believe me, I know -- did it once, and paid through the nose (but the sales guy at Tekserve was just so nice, and he really enjoyed talking to us, and it seemed rude to say no...)
Apple.com is slow like a slow thing today.
I just ran the configuration on one the way I'd like it and it still only hits $877. That's with a Superdrive, Airport Extreme and Bluetooth, wireless keyboard and mouse, and the 80GB HD in the 1.25 GHz one. As much as I want to I won't be ordering one today, but I think in the next 60 days I'll get getting one to go in the living room.
It looks like it only has one memory slot. In order to upgrade with 3rd party memory, you'll have to throw out your existing stick.
I love my new Bluetooth Apple keyboard and mouse. I think wireless is the way to go for a living room computer.
Part of the appeal of this new comptuer is that it comes in a box smaller than an iPod box. (Kinda hard to stuff a keyboard and mouse in there....) Anyway, I bet there are shipping and warehousing cost savings for such a small box.

I can live without the superdrive (we have 3 or maybe 4 DVD-RW drives in the house as it is), and leave some room in the budget for more RAM from somewhere. Bluetooth + Wireless is essential, and yummy.
(Not pulling card out of wallet. Really not. Too many computers already, dammit.)
Yes, but this won't be a computer for me REALLY, more of a central home entertainment device.
Yeah. That's it.
I can justify this.

Believe me, I understand. I'm playing a little game of what goes on the mini and what goes on the home media server of DOOOMMM as we speak. It passes the time.
I want this footprint to be more expandable. Exactly the same box with a 200 GB hard drive would be awesome, especially bundled with that awesome HDTV PVR breakout box for Macs I saw the other day. DVI that out into a large HDTV and bam!

As it is, still awesome. Don't need, but awesome.
Also, want iWork.
