Sure I went over to the Dark Side, but just to pick up a few things.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Thanks for these. Some of the stuff I already knew, but 1 or 2 things I didn't. I find the comic book/prop stuff very interesting.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

beathen, I think you still have a double post there.

Re this Lost TV Gude spoiler: At least one of the major characters will perish before the season finale.

Who do people think/hope it will be, and how far along in the show?

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Lee,

I think more than one will perish. JJ Abrams said in a previous interview that this show would have a very high body count. That sounds to me like we will have at least 2 deaths. I expected one every 3 eps. Because of the episode thrusts, it is pretty clear that Jack and Kate will last until ep 12. Walt and Michael are good at least until then.

Lost

Le Nubian,

Do you think the body count will all or even mostly be named characters though? So far, we have had all the people on the plane who died, the pilot, the marshall, and nameless swimmer girl for a body count, and it seems to me the nameless ones might keep dying off, rather than the 10 or so named characters. If they want to keep the show going next season, they will need more than one or two characters.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Lee, I just posted over in the main thread (and oh, how good it is to be able to say that!) that the wheelchair reveal regarding Locke reminded me of when it was revealed that Angel was a vampire.

Taking that analogy a teeny bit further, and also given the fact that a BtVS/AtS alum is involved, I would so, so not be surprised to have something happen that hits the audience the way that Jenny's death hit us back in the BtVS days. Plus, given the fact that Jack wasn't supposed to survive the pilot episode, it's entirely possible that he's still going to die--it was just postponed a bit.

Anne,

I think you are right, and at least one major character will die before too long, but I also think the body count will largely be from the 31 people without names. (46 minus Jack, Kate, Hurley, Sawyer, Sayid, Walt, Michael, Locke, Rose, Sun, Jin, Claire, Boone, Shannon and Charlie). Personally, I would think it would be great to see Jack die halfway through the season, and see the new dynamic the death of the leader causes.

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

I think so too, Lee. (And I'm hoping for the same thing.)

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Lost discussion. Comments below.

I have mixed feelings now about Jack dying. I think I'd prefer that if he were to die, to have that be next season. It makes sense to me, the death of Jenny Callendar in "Buffy" and kind of why that needed to happen when it did.

I have a feeling that Locke will not be with us long. It's almost like he's this miracle person who is there to inspire belief and when rumblings of this occur, he'll be offed. He is the only character where I'm getting strong "his time is short" vibe. However, weaker vibes are coming from Claire and Charlie.

Embrace the idea that we are the leaders we've been looking for. Grace Lee Boggs

Lovely, beathen. Thanks!

I say: Re: #4 as long as it's not Charlie or Hurley, I'm ok.

Re: #5 "The comic is actually a Spanish translation of "Green Lanter/Flash: Faster Friends" Part 1, which chronicles the superheroes' attack on an alien that turns out to be peaceful. Say Abrams, "We definitely chose that story for a reason.""

I think this indicates that the “monster” is not a bad thing. I had mentioned this early on as perhaps part of why Locke says he didn't see the monster. I think he did see it, and it helped him.
