I think stepsiblings hooking up is yucky, but I wouldn't consider ti incest, just bizarre.

[NAFDA] Spoilers for any and all currently running TV shows. All hardcore spoilage, all the time. No white font.
If they were raised from (young) childhood together, I think it would probably equal emotional incest. In other words, I think we would see the same sort of psychological issues.
Okay, examples: If Marcia & Greg Brady hooked up, it'd probably not have equalled emotional incest, or at least not to the same degree as if Bobby & Cindy Brady had hooked up. Peter & Jan? Sorta on the fence.
(Please, nobody link to Brady Bunch fic.)
Fic? All we have to do is point you toward the second Brady Bunch movie!
Matt, I had successfully wiped that from my brain. Why do you torment me, so?
What if Alice hooked up with one of the Brady boys -- or Brady girls?

Everyone's head explodes? At least that's what mine did upon contemplating this scenario.
Blech - brain bleach please, stat!
What if Alice hooked up with one of the Brady boys -- or Brady girls? You mean to keep house for them, when they married their completely non-related, not even in a step-sibling way spouses, right? RIGHT?

*rolls eyes* Yeah, right. Sure. *pat* *pat*
Well, a lot of it would depend on how close the stepsiblings were. If they had known each other from childhood but had only seen each other summers and Christmas, it might not be much different from any childhoood playmates hooking up, emotionally speaking. But if they were raised together, that is closer to incest.
It would be very strange either way, and I kind of hope Lost doesn't go there.
But if they do, I want the episode to be called Island of Yes.
