I saw the first three eps of 24 S4 last night, but work has been far too crazy busy for me to actually write anything up about it. The short version goes something like "YAY!"
Everyone at CTU except Chloe is new. Jack was fired (for being addicted to heroin), and now works for DOD, answering directly to the Secretary of Defense. He is also in a "OMGINEVERTHOUGHTICOULDLOVESOMEONEELSEAFTERMYFIRSTWIFEDIEDINSEASONONE" relationship with said Sec's daughter, who is also his chief advisor. Naturally, they are both kidnapped by terrorists at the end of the first episode.
This was happening while Jack was at CTU for a budget meeting with his old boss (who he is TOTALLY FINE working with in this capacity, and doesn't miss working for CTU AT ALL).
Suffice to say that before the 2-hour premiere is over, the guy who has Jack's old job is dead, and Jack is working by himself without authorization, chasing the bad guys who have kidnapped a friend of Chloe's, who might lead them to the Secretary of Defense and his daughter. Who doesn't want to tell her dad about her and Jack, btw, because her divorce isn't final yet.
More when I have time...
But you said "YAY", so I assume it was pretty good? Because the scenario isn't doing much for me.
Jack sure leads an interesting life.
Jessica, on TAR, have you heard anything about one participant dropping out of the race this season, possibly for a medical reason? Someone at TWoP said they heard it happened, and that the person's teammate had to decide whether to drop out as well or go it alone.

I haven't, but I can try to find out Wednesday when DH interviews the eliminated team. (I might not get an answer, but I can at least try!)
Oh, awesome.
I wouldn't put too much credence on TWoP gossip, but it's interestign if true.
Jessica, that sounds awesome. Thank you thank you thank you.
I can't believe they fired him, when he had to the heroin for his undercover assignment. Has CTU never heard of Employees' Assistance Programs?
(No Michelle? No Tony?)
(No Michelle? No Tony?)
No Kim????? (Could we be so lucky?)
Kim is going to be "recurring" this season. She's nowhere in the first three eps.
I've heard rumours that Tony wilL be back at some point, but we haven't seen him yet.
