Okay, I am still pissed that Castiel wore the wrong coat in the promo pictures. I should come clean about that.
But! Still watching the show.
[NAFDA] Spoilers for any and all currently running TV shows. All hardcore spoilage, all the time. No white font.

hee hee!
but it seems weird that no one is even considering it, they're just going to the whiny places.
So many actors leave roles for so many reasons and few of them are happy times for one side or the other. I mean, it'd be nice if more people gave a benefit of the doubt, but I see where people assume it's not his choice to leave a series that *they* love.
But don't you think it's not rare for actors to leave a show under their own steam? I mean, maybe they're leaving because they hate it (he's not), but it's still their choice and you have to respect that. I'm just saying that a lot of the time it just may not be a creative decision of the showrunners, and it's silly to go as far as boycotting a show with that assumption if you just don't know.
And they know they don't know. They also seem not to care.
Right - now, if he would actually come out and say that he wanted a change. . . it might help things but people are crazy and they may just whine and scream anyway.

Well you should. But most people don't.
And, as a fan, there's a big difference between Misha (any actor) leaving on his own and happily than it was such a miserable place to work that he feels pushed out even if is still technically his choice. In the latter, I can see fans being angry at the "show" and deciding not to watch any longer.
This isn't exactly the sanest fandom but even Two and a Half Men is facing the craziness of a casting change. Although that one played out in public and was clearly someone being fired. But, still, cast change.
I hope Misha had a blast playing the role, made some good money and gets to go enjoy trying to fix the world, act in different roles if he wants and be an awesome dad. But some fans really only love shows with certain characters and certain storylines. I get it.
I wish they weren't nasty when it's 1. unneeded and 2. not going to do them any good beyond venting, but I can't control people's thoughts and actions. Mores the pity. Because that would be awesome sometimes.

All of this is true. It was a big win for him. I will miss Castiel and my ship terribly, but I couldn't be happier for the actor.
ION, Eureka said to be ending with a six episode final season.
There's an update to that which makes it sound not so set in stone.
Ha, I was just coming to post this [link] with this blurb:
"[Producers] Bruce Miller and Jaime Paglia have brought a creative vitality to Eureka that has kept it fresh and inventive," said Mark Stern, president of original content at Syfy, in a statement to THR. "Although we do not have a commitment beyond six episodes for the sixth season, we are hopeful that this will not be the end of the franchise."
...and ask, should I be hopeful?
And from here on in, I think I'm bound back to silence. How frustrating.
