I remember a time when I really believed I was the center of the universe and that others bent to my will and that circumstances always conspired to bring me what I wanted. Because, frankly, at the tender age of 4, it was basically true, given the parameters of what I considered my universe to be and what I wanted from it.

But by 5, I was over it. Seriously. Once I got into the world with other creatures away from my family, I realized that I couldn't make other people do what I wanted just because I willed it so. Eventually, I even learned not to blame the universe and everyone in it for that inconvenience.

Apparently not everyone works through that. Or are they just so lucky that they never have cause to notice?

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

The thing is, I don't think it's common knowledge that Misha's reduced role the show in the coming season is by his own decision. And I haven't heard any con reports of him making that clear to the fans.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I think Matt is right.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

But isn't it weird to assume that he's not okay with it? He hasn't said, as far as I've read, that he's not okay with it. He's been very diplomatic about the whole thing. (eta: I anonymously told someone that it was his call, and I wonder if she'll deal with that publicly--it's just not sexy).

I know my knowledge is outside of what fandom knows, but it seems weird that no one is even considering it, they're just going to the whiny places.

Sure, there are ways they can end his story that will piss me off, but the mere fact that he's leaving is totally different.

And! Eureka. Now I don't have to keep that secret anymore.

Okay, I am still pissed that Castiel wore the wrong coat in the promo pictures. I should come clean about that.

But! Still watching the show.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

but it seems weird that no one is even considering it, they're just going to the whiny places.

So many actors leave roles for so many reasons and few of them are happy times for one side or the other. I mean, it'd be nice if more people gave a benefit of the doubt, but I see where people assume it's not his choice to leave a series that *they* love.
