Zoe: First rule of battle, little one. Don't ever let 'em know where you are. Mal: Whoo-hoo! I'm right here! I'm right here! You want some of me? Yeah, you do! Come on! Come on! Aaah! Whoo-hoo! Zoe: Of course, there are other schools of thought...

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

I like the pictures in the IMDB entry much better than the one linked above. That one looked too much like they were angling for the Tennant resemblance.

There's part of me, though, that does wish they'd cast older rather than younger. Still, I'm hopeful.

“Not dead yet!”

I'd love to see a woman Doctor,

I think the only one I could've seen in that role would have been Catherine Tate, because of the taste of it we were given. But conversely, I think that's precisely why it wouldn't have been her.

I found it super interesting that they said that Matt was one of the first people they auditioned, and they knew, but they kept going, because they wanted to be thorough and make sure they'd auditioned everyone.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

If you've seen the Sally Lockhart mysteries with Billie Piper, he was in those.

He also spent the night with Billy Piper (and then became the Date Who Wouldn't Leave) in an ep of Secret Diary of a Call Girl.

Oh, look, another white guy.

Sorry to be cranky, but seriously. ::rolls eyes forever::

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

I haven't seen Smith in anything yet, but... 26! I know they would want to keep him around for a bit and watch him grow (literally) into the role, but The Doctor shouldn't be that freakin' young, yo. How is he going to project the combination of glee + alienness + maturity + intelligence + insanity? Unless he's a brilliant wee actor, but still. Twenty-Six!

Still not ginger, either. Sigh.

Annnnnd my mind just went back to Julian Rhind-Tutt. Dang, but he would've been fun.

And for some strange reason, my mind just flashed on Antonio Banderas playing the Doctor, which... maybe I just haven't had enough caffeine today.

Our wings are not tired.

I know nothing of the young lad. I'll trust that he has the acting chops. He looks young to me. Then again I was awfully fond of CE and DT grew on me big time.

It would have been fun to have a bold move in another direction with a selection of a woman. Paterson Joseph would have been real easy on the eyes too. Ah well, I'll be watching.
