BTW, Sue, thanks for the streaming link in Natter -- I was just then refreshing LJ obsessively on the theory that if I can't watch BBC-1, at least someone on my flist must be.
Spoilers 3: First Mutant Enemy, Now the World
[NAFDA] Spoilers for any and all currently running TV shows. All hardcore spoilage, all the time. No white font.
No problem amych. I actually went to the site looking for something else, saw the BBC One link, looked at the time...
I would have posted it her if I had remembered where the discussion was going on.

Matt Smith? Never heard of him! Which figures - it seemed likely that they'd go for someone who didn't have too much in the way of oodles of baggage...
That's exactly what they did, Fay-- I think he has a good look though. He's got a young puppy look, but with a timeless look to him as well, like he's seen a lot.
I'll be interested to see how his take on the Doctor differs from Eccleston's and Tennant's.
Here's his IMDB page. If you've seen the Sally Lockhart mysteries with Billie Piper, he was in those.
He's...younger than me. That's weird.

Yes, and a good thing -- I was happy to see Chiwe on the list (because, CHIWE! Love him!) but I figured there was no way for just that reason. And even more so for either of the women -- I'd love to see a woman Doctor, but either Zeta-Jones or Piper would've screamed pure stunt casting, not to mention that I don't think I could watch either one of them in the part...
Who was he in Ruby in the Smoke ?
