I'd be shocked if Jack, Sayid and Locke die because of the important skills they have that helps the group survive. And deadKate would shock since she's like the only sorta alpha female on the show.
I would be sad to see him go, but it would be terribly shocking & cool if they killed Jack.

candyb has the cool thing going on. Jack must die. OK, Jack must die while getting BUSY with Kate, but there must be a Jack death.
I'll only be shocked if Locke or Charlie dies because the actors are such fan favorites, and a show in its first season needs ratings more than HSQ. Anyone else is fair game.
Man, I am not in the LOVE CHARLIE camp. I would have no problem with him getting offed. Sawyer and Shannon are on the top of my list.

I read that JJ said he would keep Dom on the show as long as he came out of the trailer. (from a TV Guide article) It would be stupid to kill him off with such a rapid fan following (of the actor) anyways.
Wow, that second half of S1 post was complete babble.
I'm hoping to be shocked not so much by who dies as by how that person dies. I want some S2 Buffy or S3 Angel HSQ, people.

These seem really interesting, then again they are from Kristin at E! but still.... quite intriguing.
11/08 - One character was not on that plane and Claire and Charlie are going to disappear, kidnapped, it seems by the character who was not on the plane. Sawyer’s backstory has a twist that just might be as good as Locke’s (and that’s saying something). Also, he and Kate have some heated interaction this week that ends in a kiss (but only because she’s basically forced to), and in a later episode, they stumble upon a waterfall that looks breathtakingly beautiful on the surface … but when they jump in, they find some disturbing plane wreckage, including the key to Kate’s story. For story reasons, I think Kate and Locke are essentially unkillable at this point. For meta reasons, I think Charlie, Jack, and Sun are likewise untouchable—the fans love Monaghan, the fans AND network execs love Fox, and the producers were wowed enough by Yunjin Kim to write a whole story arc around the character they created for her.
