Apparently Michael and Walt are being written out of "Lost." They won't appear on the show next season. Isn't this a cause of bad planning by the writers? Why go through all this drama at all, just to have Walt and Michael written out?

le nubian, any word on Desmond? I assumed he'd be dead, but people think otherwise, because his girlfriend was introduced at the end there, and seems to be looking for him (or for something, anyhow).
I haven't heard any official word yet about Desmond. I assume he is alive.

That's just terrible treatment of the audience. It sounds like someone must've had a better idea of what's behind everything.
I guess she needs the time to work on her autobiography.
I'll be sorry to see Rose go, I like her. I hope the next companion is really interesting. And I'm curious to see how fans who aren't used to the turn over of companions will take her leaving the show.
I sense a vast disturbance in the fandom, as thousands of fangirls who never watched the show before cry out in anguish and then, alas, do not go silent.
There is *so. much. fic* out there about how Sarah Jane and Reinette and all the other companions Just Don't Count compared to Rose. Those people are going to be very unhappy post-Rose.
Are the newer fans going back and watching old Dr Who episodes or are they mainly focusing on the current show. Or does it depend on what kind of fan they are?
