I love that Joss said that he understands the fervor of Buffy fans better. Cute!

I love that he's going to be an irritable car rental salesman.
Yay!
So long as the universe doesn't collapse, or something.

Type casting has much to recommend it.
Summary of Lost 2.1 up on AICN
Huh. Weird.
Though the bit about Jack's wife being able to wiggle her toes when he thought she was paralyzed from the waist down is pretty damn reminiscent of Locke.
Maybe Jack has some mystical mojo that heals spinal injuries?
(That last line was a joke.)
The Desmond/room full of computers/whatever has me totally flummoxed.
Steph,
you know, I think you might be on to something. I mean the writers said they were going to explore how the castaways may have interacted with each other prior to landing on the island. If Jack is a spine specialist (which he was), wouldn't he or his father potentially have encountered Locke? It would be weird, no?

We know that Jack's father has encountered Sawyer - wouldn't it be weird if he was the one connecting the castaways. For all we know, he did some work on Michael after Michael was hit by the car...
Never mind me. I'm just being random.
DH just watched Pegasus (I'll watch it when I get home), and his initial reaction is this:
Holy frack. That was amazingly intense. And of course it ends on a freakin' cliffhanger! Groan...
So many good scenes, but the best one was this amazing moment with Baltar that I don't want to talk about in detail because you really need to see it not knowing what's coming. By far the best scene Baltar has had through the entire show thus far. Be prepared to feel very sorry for the Chief too. Poor guy just can't catch a break!
About How I Met Your Mother:
The frame of the story is that it's 2030 and the lead guy is explaining to his kids how he met their mother. (Shocking twist, no?) So the whole episode is about how he meets this girl in a bar who is perfect for him, but he hesitates on kissing her on their first date. He goes back to her place later to kiss her but misses the signals again. Then it goes back to the frame and he explains how he thought he'd never see her again, but fate intervened, and that's the story of how he met their Aunt.
So it's a total McGuffin.
