Lost: OMGWTF POLAR BEAR
[NAFDA] This is where we talk about the show! Anything that's aired in the US (including promos) is fair game. No spoilers though -- if you post one by accident, an admin will delete it.
lisah, if the spoilers weren't an issue, I'd COMM that.

Thanks! Makes working on a Sunday worth it.
Oh, I think Mrs. My-HeroHusband-Fixed-Me-So-I-Could-Dance-at-Our-Wedding would have died of old age before divorcing Jack over his being uptight. Either his cold feet returned sometime after the ceremony and he called things off or she was buying him a burger in that restaurant Hurley worked in when the meteor hit.

I just remembered in an early S1 ep (forget which one), Sayid is trying to make a compass when given one by Locke. He then accused Locke of fucking with him when the compass proved to be out of whack. Now we have a known electromagnetic source down the hatch, strong enough to draw the key around Jack's neck toward it. I'm guessing that that was what caused Sayid's compass malfunction, not Locke.

Did they say it was electromagnetic? I was assuming it was a big hunk of lodestone, or the remains of a nickel-iron meteor. Er, meteorite.
I'm surprised all that magnetic tape wasn't bulk erased by a magnetic field that strong.

The island is magic
I like the meteorite idea, though.
The computers in the Swan bunker could be specially shielded. There's that geodesic dome down there, after all.
What was the "trick" question that Desmond tried on Locke the week before? My old memory just isn't what it used to be....
What was the "trick" question that Desmond tried on Locke the week before?
"What did one polar bear say to the other?"
I'm wondering if that was how Desmond would verify his replacement. Given that he kept asking Locke "Are you *him*?", I'm thinking....maybe.
Though if that's the case, it's ironic that Locke took over for Desmond anyway.
