Joyce: Dawn, you be good. Xander: We will. Just gonna play with some matches, run with scissors, take candy from some guy, I don't know his name.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

I just remembered in an early S1 ep (forget which one), Sayid is trying to make a compass when given one by Locke. He then accused Locke of fucking with him when the compass proved to be out of whack. Now we have a known electromagnetic source down the hatch, strong enough to draw the key around Jack's neck toward it. I'm guessing that that was what caused Sayid's compass malfunction, not Locke.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Now we have a known electromagnetic source down the hatch, strong enough to draw the key around Jack's neck toward it.

Did they say it was electromagnetic? I was assuming it was a big hunk of lodestone, or the remains of a nickel-iron meteor. Er, meteorite.

I'm surprised all that magnetic tape wasn't bulk erased by a magnetic field that strong.

The island is magic

I like the meteorite idea, though.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

The computers in the Swan bunker could be specially shielded. There's that geodesic dome down there, after all.

What was the "trick" question that Desmond tried on Locke the week before? My old memory just isn't what it used to be....

What was the "trick" question that Desmond tried on Locke the week before?

"What did one polar bear say to the other?"

I'm wondering if that was how Desmond would verify his replacement. Given that he kept asking Locke "Are you *him*?", I'm thinking....maybe.

Though if that's the case, it's ironic that Locke took over for Desmond anyway.

Heh. The Polar Bears Are Not What They Seem.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

What was the "trick" question that Desmond tried on Locke the week before?

I think it was "What did one snowman say to the other snowman?"

Oh, and some trivia: the writers of this week's episode of Lost are friends of Rob Thomas's.

Oh, Christ. It *was* "snowman"! Thanks, P-C. This show makes he have polar bears on the brain.

Well... at least they're both white. In my mind, that makes perfect sense.

Well... at least they're both white.

And they both like snow.
