Helen was totally the name of the phone-sex worker! Whoa. Did he call all the phone-sex lines he could find until he found a woman named Helen, or did he just ask her to let him call her Helen?

Maybe this is just me, but... I've gotta say, I think if I knew Jack IRL, I would have given him a good hard shake about four sweating-in-the-jungle-verge-of-tears breakdowns ago. I mean, really... can this guy keep it together long enough to make a cheese sandwich?!?
Note: this might be a reaction to the fact that I can. not. get behind the "OMG push the button! / I won't do it!!" bit at the end. All I could think is... "Locke, you're worried that the world might END in 30 seconds, and you're using this as a teachable moment?!???!?"

After you push the button you have another 108 minutes to figure out if it actually does anything. If you don't push it, you could very well find out it does do something the hard way."
