Can't do WHAT alone? Push a damn button? Either push it or don't!
Maybe I'm missing the point.
The filmstrip said that they were supposed to have a partner for the button-pushing, alternating shifts so they could each get a decent amount of sleep, maybe. I assume that's what Locke was talking about, esp. with the line about "I'll take the first shift."
Was that Rose in the preview? Cool!
Which I'm guessing means Jin is working with the others, since if he wasn't, he really had no reason to keep up a non-English knowing charade while he was running for his life.
Jack pushed the button because Locke pushed his.
See how many groups of people they can dupe into entering the code and pusing the button? Except, by now, whoever was running the experiment is no longer even monitoring, right?
I am intrigued to find out about Jin.
If it's all just a lab-rat experiment, why do the numbers need to be radio broadcast?
Wait. Okay. Maybe they're broadcast every time they're entered, and the HQ of this organization picks up the signal and thus knows the numbers have been entered and the experiment continues.
Of course, that makes no sense.
Well, they definitely upped the WTF quotient with this episode. I really hope they have a plan. Not being an Ex-Phile, I'm not immune to the disappointment incurred when it turns out they don't.
Did anyone else get the impression that Sawyer and Michael were not captured by the others, but by a different group of crash survivors?

alienp, that's what I thought. Ana Lucia is definately from the plane, so it stands to reason the rest are too. but they have gone way more Lord of the Flies than the group we've been following.
