My first thought about the Others on the beach is that they are the survivors from the other end of the plane and their time on the island has been much worse.
But didn't crazy Rousseau refer to the Others being there for a while (i.e., before the plane crash)?
Did Locke notice the hash marks on the walls?
I believe he did.

I believe this is true, also.
Buffistas is my religion.
The logo was, in fact, on the shark. I played the rewind-freeze-frame game to see it. It's just at the base of the tail, a flash past just as it whips off camera.
So the food's got a label, the guy's got a label, the shark's got a label... I'm getting a Jurassic Park kind of vibe. I hope it's more complicated than that.
You shark having logo seeing people are quite impressive. Never saw it. Guess I'll have to watch again!
I also still don't understand why the choices were either injunction or signing over paternity rights - why could he just say, 'fine, take him to Rome but I'm still the father & you have to pay for me to fly there once a year for visitation' or whatever?
I think this was Michael just going for broke. His lawyer wasn't thrilled with the idea. He was listing off what Michael could do and Michael went one track mind as soon as he heard "keep your son here".
Was that a real shark or was it part of the island's "security system?"
It seemed to spray real blood, but I guess it could have been hydraulic fluid.
(laughing) I saw the spray too.
Someone over at WX put up a screen shot that showed that the polar bear (full-sized and live/CGI, not the plush version) was also sporting the logo.

Photoshop, I bet. I'm pretty sure they didn't have that logo in mind during the pilot last year.
