Some of us are still waiting for a giant spinning red ball of death.

Or that Desmond will turn out to be a lost Derevko spawn.

Silence! No one can speak unless they're holding...this pencil!

So...Desmond typed The Numbers into the computer. The Numbers are on the vial. The Numbers added up equal the 108 on the graffiti wall...

You know what I think? I think J.J.'s starting to get desperate for places to put The Numbers. Soon he's gonna get really creative.

You watch. By the end of the season, there will turn out to be 4 men in Kate's harem, 8 boar left on the island, 15 people who worship Locke, 16 people who worship Jack (assuming he doesn't grow a NotMullet again), 23 survivors, and 42 Virgin Marys of Holy Heroin for Charlie to snack on.

Also, the temperature will be 108 degrees.

Okay, usually this show bugs the hell out of me (although I still watch it half the time) but last night's episode was pretty cool.

I'm beginning to think that the writers might actually have a workable concept for how all the crazy crap fits together (except for Hurley's numbers, which still make no sense to me), and at the very least I enjoy laughing at Jack. Did anybody else find it hilarious when he was telling all the castaways that everything was going to be all right? Um, how? He's reminds me of W.

Also, I loved Kate's non-reaction to the huge, black letters spelling out 'QUARANTINE.' Yeah, cause why worry about that?

I seriously think that Sayid might end up being the leader if he makes it back--Jack is mouthing platitudes when some serious shit is going down and Locke is off in his own private Wackyland with his hatch/island obsessions.

I thought that Jack's flashback wig looked like Luca (from er)'s hair.

I yelled "Charlie!" the instant he appeared in it.

Good episode. Really liked the opening.

I assumed Desmond was the guy in the hatch as soon as I saw his ponytail. Two people couldn't have the same stupid ponytail in the same show, was my reasoning.

I'm wondering what the wall of kiddy-painting was about. 108, yeah fine, addition is fun, but what's going on with the rest of it? I caught the word 'sick', but couldn't see much of the rest of it. At least that ties in with the quarantine thing.

So possibly the hatch is where some group of people possibly were watching 'the Others', who may be possibly infected with something contagious? To make sure they stay on the island? Or am I really, really reaching?

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

What is reaching when you are discussing "Lost?"

polar bears

paralysis healing itself

kidnapping of pregnant women

J.J. Abrahms has a master plan?

I heard he was a master debater.
