Actually, I was thinking it would be sort of like a pet. You know, we could...we could name her Trixie, or Miss Kitty Fantastico, or something.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Did anyone else laugh out loud when the promo promised that the fate of all the survivors will be revealed by the end of next week? 'Cause...no, it won't.

Heh. Yeah. After the season finale last year, DH announced, "That's it! We're not watching that show anymore!" Needless to say, we watched tonight.

He saw the Desmond thing coming a mile away. He says if any of the main characters interacts with another character for more than 2 minutes, they end up on the island.

Which doesn't explain the early '70's music.

How about really bad taste?

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Well, here's a question that I hope will be resolved by halfway through the season...was it the same Desmond who appeared to Jack as the one in the hatch? That fool looked rode hard and put up wet - the one in the hatch.

The other Desmond looked young, vibrant, and fresh as a daisy. Something may have happened to him in the intervening time, but what if it isn't the same person?

I do believe in killing the messenger, you know why? Because it sends a message. ~ Damon Salvatore

Still loved when the song came on, and Jack tripped out. Well shot. Also, what was up with the magnet effect and his necklace?

that scene made me think, "ladies and gentlemen i think we have our answer to what brought the plane down!", but then again i'm almost always wrong with my theories.

my reaction was closer to a snort than a laugh.

JJ is good at giving us interesting characters. he's just not any good at giving us answers. so i liked the ep, but i'm not letting myself get invested.

Our wings are not tired.

Do we have any real time notion of how long ago Jack met wifey?

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

JJA shows work much better when promises for answers are treated as cute rather than, well, real. The idea of the man ever creating an internally consistent mythology is charming, but not likely.

Still, it's fun to watch.

I amused myself during the episode by making fun of Leader!Jack's Extreme Leaderliness. (And couldn't help finishing Kate's "If you wern't here..." with "then I'D be in charge, like in the original pilot! Damn you!")

had my gall bladder out the old-fashioned way

Though I know it's not what you mean (and in no way do I intend to make light of your pre- or post-op pain), this made me think bottle of whiskey and a bullet to bite on.

Was Desmond really in the stadium with Jack?

Oh, interesting. So maybe Des (I don't think he'd mind) can project the way Walt can? Only much, much better, because - with the touching. I don't think I'm there yet, but - interesting.

Maybe Desmond's the result of a cloning experiment gone horribly wrong.

The opening montage made me wish he was being played by Christian Bale.

Great, and we get the crazy clone instead of the charming clone. How is that fair? (OK, maybe he's not crazy.)

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Is it possible that they all have met Desmond?

Well, to be fair, I'd have picked the crazy one to be locked in the hatch too. (Also, I thought the one in the stadium was kind of a tool.)
