Because books.

Creeped out by the stones. Definitely thought it was a symbol of some sort, the black v. white.

I totally missed the stones, and I have no tape. Darn children with their needing things.

totally never had previouslies before

Then I'm thinking that their judicious use of flashbacks through the show is what made it seem like it. I honestly don't think we need previouslies, but I guess they feel they have to do that for people who haven't been watching regularly. And, we're only getting one flashback story per episode now instead of 2 or 3 different characters, the way we did in the pilot.

Sure to be an x-post: Jack pulled them off of Adam's body (or Eve's). A black shiny stone and a white shiny stone in a little sack with a drawstring.

I can't decide who I'm most interested in learning about. Sayid's way up there, as well as Sawyer. I'm thinking Claire's story is just going to be run-of-the-mill sad, like the baby's father didn't want to be part of their lives and she was going to live with a sister or something, but it would be wonderful if she had some twisted backstory, too.

Oh, and I definitely want to know what the hell is up between Boone and Shannon.

I liked the way they did everything they could at the beginning of the episode to make it seem like Jack and Kate were a couple. Jack, though, is oblivious. Kate gave him that great opening to say he was scoping her out and all he could do was natter about how great the cave was. Personally, I want Kate and Sawyer together. There's such good snarkchemistry there.

They are as creepy as the black and white stones.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

I love how well the characters are given layers -- Jin isn't just a dickish possessive husband; he willingly went to work for the fucking Korean mafia because it was the only way he could marry Sun. Awwww. And I think she wasn't fleeing *him* as much as she was fleeing mob life.

And -- I have a theory. I think that Kate and Sawyer knew each other before the crash. Before the plane trip, period. It was just something about their interaction on the beach, when he asked where she was going to stay -- cave or beach. There was just a vibe. It was vibey.

Mark my words.

Okay, Tep. I marked your post. Will check back later to see if you were right. I don't know why they wouldn't admit to knowing each other. Unless, whatever she/they got in trouble for, they were accomplices and now they want to keep the heat off of him.
