I liked the way they did everything they could at the beginning of the episode to make it seem like Jack and Kate were a couple. Jack, though, is oblivious. Kate gave him that great opening to say he was scoping her out and all he could do was natter about how great the cave was. Personally, I want Kate and Sawyer together. There's such good snarkchemistry there.
Lost: OMGWTF POLAR BEAR
[NAFDA] This is where we talk about the show! Anything that's aired in the US (including promos) is fair game. No spoilers though -- if you post one by accident, an admin will delete it.
Oh, and I definitely want to know what the hell is up between Boone and Shannon.
They are as creepy as the black and white stones.
I love how well the characters are given layers -- Jin isn't just a dickish possessive husband; he willingly went to work for the fucking Korean mafia because it was the only way he could marry Sun. Awwww. And I think she wasn't fleeing *him* as much as she was fleeing mob life.
And -- I have a theory. I think that Kate and Sawyer knew each other before the crash. Before the plane trip, period. It was just something about their interaction on the beach, when he asked where she was going to stay -- cave or beach. There was just a vibe. It was vibey.
Mark my words.
Frank has brought me to my happy place!
Consider it a wedding present.
Okay, Tep. I marked your post. Will check back later to see if you were right. I don't know why they wouldn't admit to knowing each other. Unless, whatever she/they got in trouble for, they were accomplices and now they want to keep the heat off of him.

This would fit with his "I made this birthday wish four years ago" line. Why the fuck would he keep calling her Freckles, though? Well, maybe he called her that before. I've had lots of wild theories about people who might have known each other before, but I can't make it work with how they're acting. You'd think there would be more blatant signs. Like, "Fancy seeing you here! Crashing on an island with me. What are the odds?"
I think Vincent and the polar bear knew each other. Now Vincent is in mourning.
Tep. I marked your post.
Heh. I didn't mean literally, but cool!

Whoa, wait, that's a great idea. Especially considering one of the specs is that Sawyer's been in prison. Maybe he got caught, and she didn't.
But wait. In the pilot, she expressed surprise that he was coming on the hike, and he replied, "I'm a complex guy, sweetheart." As if they didn't know each other. Aargh.
I think Jin and Sun knew each--oh.
I was just gonna say I did it, and then I thought, "I should do that." So, I did.
Unless, whatever she/they got in trouble for, they were accomplices and now they want to keep the heat off of him.
Ooh. But why would it matter on the island? I guess, if they think they'll be rescued and brought back to civilization, though, that would fly...
I was a little disappointed that the whole Jin v. Michael thing came down to a watch. It seems, well, lame. Or convenient plot device and flashback trigger. I mean, dude, Michael saw Sun's boobies! Michael and Sun have had actual interaction! But, hey, a watch as a badge of honor for someone... who wasn't on the plane... I, uh... yeah.
