All is well that ends in pizza.

I wonder how big the actual lottery prize was if after taxes and spending and investments he has that much left?

Oh, and I'm not Catholic, nor superstitious, but I am whimsical.

I have in my hand a printed $1 Powerball ticket with The Numbers.

Drawing is tonight.

I gathered from the conversation with his accountant that he has actually taken the lottery winnings and made bucketloads more money through investment. Maybe he's a warrior in the money making sense? (although he seemed kinda clueless about his investments when talking to the accountant...)

Who? moi??

When I travel I take used books that are designed not to come home with me. A book of short stories (or a sci fi mag) to go on the plane with me, and 5 books to take with me (usually mysteries). (This is when I go overseas). The normal trade is two books for one, so I can keep going for quite a while. All of the time buying guides and reference books that =are= coming home. If I am traveling in the US, I take the same for the plane, but only two or three in the suitcase. Much easier to find used bookstores here.

I never take a new book. I am too cheap to leave it behind.

That's just too precious, P-C!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

He is worth $150M+, and the investment guy said he'd doubled his winnings.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

He was on Korean TV because he won the ginormous lottery. That's what the Korean words on the screen said.

Right, but what I mean is, do U.S. lottery winners usually make the news in other countries?

The evil is this way?

Right, but what I mean is, do U.S. lottery winners usually make the news in other countries?

Well, it was a really big payout. Also, his grandfather died during the press conference. Irony plays in any culture, doesn't it? Particularly when it's on film.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

But I still wanna know why Hurley is "considered something of a warrior"

Is it possible that he was making a joke at his own expense?

I mean, so far lots of the little comments the characters have made turn out to be significant, sure.

But sometimes a joke is just a joke.
