Just read an interesting tidbit of info on the ABC message boards. The lottery announcer lady is apparently one of the ladies that Sawyer was with in one of his flashback episodes.

Also somebody suggested this might have something to do with the numbers. Interesting theory but I'm not sure I buy into it myself.
