Charley probably shouldn't have done it, but he's right about them never getting anything out of Ethan.
And really? I can see Charlie's POV.
Also? The good ship Claire and Charlie is seriously damaged. I'd pronounce it sunk, but Claire hasn't read her diary all the way, has she?
(I missed some dialogue)
They could surely have edited the flashbacks a lot and still gotten the idea across. "You'll never take care of anyone!" --> bangbangbang
Oh, no. Did you miss the end, Daniel?
So, another Sawyer flashback episode next week? Hmmm. Maybe we'll finally learn why he was in Australia.

It's floating pretty well from what I saw. You must have missed the last scene.
Okay, those flashbacks were easily the worst-integrated this show's done yet. I loves me some Dom, but oy.
Sayid, Jin, and Sawyer were all looking extremely hot tonight.
And I think Sun's pregnant.

yes.
ETA: waiting for Alias to finish before stopping tape and rewatching.

It was a long, LOOOONG way to go to get to "I just wanted to prove I could take care of you". Which was basically a way of taking Ethan out of the picture. I think Claire having her memories come back (or some of them) and unloading on Ethan would have been just as effective. I'm not sure who's backstory I would have done in place of Charlie's though (Scott's would have been too cruel, but man oh man, I would have respected JJ and company for it).

Oh, that would have been...I don't know. Mean, but in a funny way. Very Jossian.
Who wrote tonight's Alias, btw? I wasn't paying attention during the credits.
