Take jobs as they come -- and we'll never be under the heel of nobody ever again. No matter how long the arm of the Alliance might get, we'll just get ourselves a little further.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

He didn't see it down there. Why not leave it and retrieve it when Sawyer's not around?

Seriously!

The recap was awesome, and reading some of the comments reminded me that I, too, think of "Beyond the Sea" as being, first and foremost, the Song About Scully's Dead Dad.

Punishingly Intricate

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

I just can't get past the fact that they're trapped on an island, fighting for their lives, and there's time for a bikini wax. I can't suspend that much disbelief. I gave it all to the t-rex and the fact that anyone survived at all. I have none left to give to the brazillian bikini wax in between foraging for fruit and fighting off the shits.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

There might have been Nair. No, Nads. Definitely Nads.

Besides, how much fighting for their lives is there to do? Shannon may be a whiny wastrel, but when there's no crisis, it must be really boring.

I'm thinking a bunch of people who know jack shit about hunting/gathering for their daily bread probably spend the better part of their day worrying about food.

And with the sudden diet change of mostly fruit, they all have the shits and aren't feeling so pretty and have sore asses.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Post-tsunami coincidences: IN!A!PPROPRIATE!

Yeah, I was a little squicky about that as well.

Also, cleolinda mentions that jack passed on his opportunity to hear what Kate did, back a few weeks. I don't think it matters, she'd have lied, lied, lied about it at that time as well.

Locke's killing a pig a day, Jin's serving up sushi -- I never got the impression anyone was doing anything other than trying not to get bit by a dinosaur, or worrying about their father, or making up excuses for Iraqi bondage.

How many people does a pig feed per day? Anyone know? I feel like maybe I should start knowing this stuff.
