I look more rad than Lutheranism

not enough evidence in yet on Ethan's psychosity

I'm actually having am-I-from-another-planet-where-people-don't-kidnap? cognitive dissonance.

He kidnapped 2 people, one of them an extremely pregnant woman. Okay, maybe he was escorting them to some safe location that we the viewers don't know about. Fine, maybe that wasn't a psycho thing to do. I can relent on that until the evidence is in.

But in what fucked-up worldview is HANGING SOMEONE not considered psycho?

Tep, I'm with you on the Ethan-is-a-psycho thing.

Sure I went over to the Dark Side, but just to pick up a few things.

Locke seems to accept people's decisions without trying too much to influence them, even if he thinks it's a bad decision.

In some cases, though, he seems to instigate the bad decisions. Like when he gave Sayid the knife after he got knocked out by an unknown person and he thought it was Sawyer. Why would he hand over a knife? "Oh yeah, here's a knife to cut some bark so you and Sawyer can sit down and have some bark tea and work out your problems."

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

But in what fucked-up worldview is HANGING SOMEONE not considered psycho?

Maybe on his planet, being knocked unconscious and hung from a tree is a luxury spa treatment, like a mud wrap, or a hot stone massage...

Hence my Locke = Blackavar comment on Wednesday night.

All is well that ends in pizza.

Hence my Locke = Blackavar comment on Wednesday night.

I thought you said Blackadder for a second, and my mind went off on a weird tangent.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

How about killing them and hanging them -- more deep tissue work? Reiki?

Dude's dangerous to have around, and looks like a nutbar.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

But in what fucked-up worldview is HANGING SOMEONE not considered psycho?

He could be ethically challenged, but not prone to psychotic breaks.

waves DSM IV in Tepalina's face

Also, I'm sure there have been instances of non-psycho hangmen. Some probably did it with a sense of mild regret and civic duty.
