I bet that's a plane.
I don't think so. Locke said it was steel, and it sounded like steel when they were banging on it. Planes are made of aluminum.

crap. that was incredible. I hate sweeps cliffhangers. and by hate I mean love.
So are we assuming Ethan dragged off Charlie on his own, and the Others took Claire down the path Locke followed?
That sounds right.

Oh, oh, I wonder if you're right. Which would mean that Locke didn't lose the trail after all.
Did Michael go off with another search party to the south? I wasn't sure exactly why Walt was so happy to see him when he came into camp at the end.
Now I am beginning to wonder if the science expedition involved checking up on some established experiment, and NotDelen got caught in her own net.
eta: Ships are made of steel. Science ships.
Good point, DX.
I think Walt went off on his own to the south.
Umm, by Walt I meant Michael.
I kind of freaked when I thought Charlie was dead. My first reaction was "omigod the crazy fangirls are going to lose it -- Fandom Wank will be interesting." I didn't want Charlie to die, I like Charlie. If anyone's going to die I want it to be Jack because he annoys me.
I was kind of hoping that Charlie stayed dead because it would have been a complete and wonderful HSQ moment. I am glad he's still around.
However, this is the second time Jack has saved someone from the brink of death and I really really hope it doesn't happen again.
Jack annoyed me to no end, he wouldn't pay attention or listen and it was all about his guilt and his angst. Plus, Ethan said he'd kill one of them and yet, Jack paid no attention and Charlie nearly paid the price. I'm hoping that comes up at some point.
I missed the beginning of Sawyer and Sayid's conversation.
I thought that Locke was trying to get rid of Boone so he could commune with the island/get the magic to work. Plus I think either Locke rubbed some of his magic off on Walt, or Walt's got some of his own going on because the dice thing was weird.
Also, also, I was grudgingly admiring of their willingness to kill 'im off.
Exactly. It takes major balls, and even while I was heartbroken, I thought, Boy, gotta give 'em credit for pulling the really hard punches. But with you on being grateful I don't have to anymore.
Bev, I came in when Ethan was punching Jack because of a PTA meeting, so I missed all of that. (And got a garbled synopsis via husband and son.)
