I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Oh, yes, Boone can die. I approve.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Are we absolutely sure that Locke hasn't already died? As in, what came back from meeting the invisimechasaurobruin wasn't really him?

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

It would be interesting if the big major character death the producers keep talking about had already happened off-camera and no one has realized it yet.

Embrace the idea that we are the leaders we've been looking for. Grace Lee Boggs

I put Jack at #1 on the death list. He wasn't supposed to have survived the crash, so he's on borrowed time. Plus, he's just too leading man. Blech. Then Boone and/or Shannon, then Michael. I think that they'll keep Walt with Guru!Locke though.

From the watch-n-post on:

starts convulsing at even an oblique mention of most hated book ever...

One of my best friends in high school named her son Ethan because she loved this book. Depressing, much.

(I'm kinda wishing Nathan Fillion really were playing Ethan, because Fillion can really bring the creepy.) (Also, I like looking at Nathan Fillion.)

Oh, yes. I had missed much of S7 originally, but just watched on DVD. He can creepify like nobody's business.

I feel like we're supposed to take him at his word, because he didn't play the run-of-the-mill "only happy news" psychic. Also the point of view wasn't only Claire's in those scenes -- the camera very pointedly focused on him during the readings, not just on Claire's reaction to him.

Yeah, except, well, we know he lied to Claire. I think he saw something, but do not trust what he said about it. I am more inclined to believe earlier comments, while he was so upset, but I think he had ulterior motives after that.

This is all terribly exciting now, but there are so many ways this particular storyline can turn into a steaming pile of incoherent crap that I'm beginning to get a bit worried.

Wrod.

Ooooh. I like this idea.

It's episode 10, and no-one has died since ep 5. Can they bring Tim in as a guest-writer to wield his shiny scythe, as long as he doesn't kill the characters I like? t /bloodthirsty

I'm getting a fanciful mental image of the guy reading Claire's future and suddenly having the mental frequency broken in on with "I SEE YOU LITTLE MAN. DELIVER HER TO ME AND YOU MAY LIVE."

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

Oh, is that why there's a death list? I assumed it was just on general principles.

Well, there have been hints. But I won't take anything as gospel.

Yeah, but Rudolph was a rerun...

snerk (OK, I'm a little late. Still.)

I vote Boone off the island. And, yeah, where is Rose? And, like Steph (I think), I thought Shannon gave a great delivery of the "not moving to the rape caves" line.

I'm not yet worried about the fact that there are a lot of balls in the air. The Jungle of Mystery is vast enough to... um, keep them aloft? Whatever. I'm not worried, is my point.

I adored the Hurley/Sawyer scene. There will be no killing of either one.

And, while I agree that they're all looking mightly spiffy for a couple of weeks on a tropical island, I rather appreciate it, so I'm just sidestepping the issue instead of worrying about suspension of disbelief. I don't care, 'cause pretty.

All is well that ends in pizza.

I wonder if Scott and Steve are going to turn out to be a gay couple...
