I was assming it was a bed or table with a metal headboard.

Lost: OMGWTF POLAR BEAR
[NAFDA] This is where we talk about the show! Anything that's aired in the US (including promos) is fair game. No spoilers though -- if you post one by accident, an admin will delete it.
And I adore his friendship with Charlie; that fishing scene is priceless.
I loved the two of them doing the Miss-This-Drive dance in this week's ep.
Also, nice to see that she's got enough extra electricity to run torture devices.
Heh. When Sayid said "That's not enough electricity..." I expected him to say "to keep microwaving me," instead of "to power the transmitter."
So, do you suppose Danielle had the electro-rack already made, y'know, just in case, or did she rush home and throw one together after clubbing Sayid?
I assumed she'd had it around since she killed Robert and the others. They went crazy (or she did and thought they did) and she started watching them, and they started getting paranoid about it, so she locked them up, and occasionally shot them full of juice to tell her what was wrong/they were doing, before she finally realized they couldn't be saved and she killed them. That's when Robert grabbed the gun without a firing pin and she killed him. That's what I thought happened... and then realized I'd never actually seen it. It's a good story, though.
Okay, so you guys have to see Matthew Fox on Ellen. Scroll down, it's near the bottom. There's a nice interview, and then they basically act out a cleolinda recap (not literally, unfortunately), and neither one of them can stop laughing.
It was the bedspring from a camp bed. I've slept on many. Just not, you know, electrified.
I had my tv too dark, then. I should have recognized that. Especially since I just repaired one not a month ago.
They also make good barbecue racks if they are tight and you have some cinder blocks to lay it across.
Powerskimming the last 250 posts... Love the ep, want to watch it again.
I, like Nutty, spent a lot of time listening to Mira Furlan and noticing how very Croatian she sounded, and how that was very unlike a French accent.
Loved that bit of Sayid's backstory, but not sure I get what the deal was with Delenn's expidition. I'll have to watch it again to be sure.
Hi, lunda! Have we seen you around here before?
Ooh, 1495. I think we have a delurk! Welcome, lunda.
Thanks for the welcome. I have indeed been lurking for awhile, but love your discussions and wanted to contribute a little.
I was thinking last night about Locke. I'm not sure if he's evil and manipulating people or being manipulated by the mysterious THEM Danielle mentioned. But I love how he keeps producing the tangible items people want: Walt's dog Vincent, Charlie's guitar and the golf clubs when people were complaining about being bored. It's like giving people sedatives (distractions) to keep them from paying attention to what he's really doing. In Wednesday's ep, he wasn't with the rest of the survivors at the Island Open, but instead was honing his Great White Hunter skills and taking the opportunity to teach them to Walt (an alcolyte?), while Michael, who had told Walt not to go with Mr. Locke earlier that day, was distracted by the game.
He's definitely making himself indispensible to the group, while not appearing to take any major leadership role. And you're right, I hadn't thought about the fact that he was the one who actually found the bag with the golf clubs. I think I might be swinging back around to thinking that HE was the one who clocked Sayid a couple of episodes back. He was maybe a little too casual about it when Sayid asked him for his alibi...
I should mention, that if you have a battery and jumper cables, you can make an electrical torture-unit out of a foldy beach chair and enough rope to tie up your captive. Alternatively, a metal bedframe will do, and double points if there is rope webbing for the prisoner's comfort while being tortured.
(The real question is, who knows how much juice to use, to be painful without being fatal? I don't.)
