We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

t tackles Beth and steals Sayid back

I have succumbed to the power of the Dimples, but I can share Sawyer.

I'll keep Sayid, though, and comfort him.

OMGWTF Delenn! So great to see her, and she looks good.

All is well that ends in pizza.

And? Speaks with almost exactly the same accent as Delenn.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I'll keep Sayid, though, and comfort him.

Um, yeah, no. I don't think so.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Hmm. cleolinda has a point. Tom Cruise's real name is Mapother. And "Ethan" was in MI2 , at the computer, here, with Van Helsing's Dracula is in the middle, and Dougray on the left.

All is well that ends in pizza.

Yes, they're cousins. Says so in IMDB.

so what do y'all think the cable was that Sayid was following? i'm thinking it maybe led back to the crashed ship in the water.

I'm thinking it leads back to the LEAKING NUCLEAR REACTOR on the crashed ship in the water. Them frenchies and their wacky nukes.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Apparently Jack has medical training that differs from that of my doctors, who didn't tell me that hives were the result of heat and stress and I should stop being a hypochondriac and go away, but instead said that I should probably stop taking Augmentin so my allergic reaction didn't get worse and KILL ME. But I'm sure Rash Guy can't possibly be coming into contact with any unfamiliar susbstances on a tropical island that he wasn't already eating/touching/breathing back in Australia, so it's all in his head and nothing to bother medical personnel about when they could be golfing instead.

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

Stepping in for the translation of the day for the completists out there.

Here is what Danielle repeats to Sayid about her message:

Si quelqu'un m'entend [If someone can hear me] Je vous en prie [I beg of you] Venez à notre aide [Come help us] Il les a tués, Il les a tous tués [It killed them, it killed them all.]

The French is very awkward, a very different language and style from the distress call, which I guess could be the result of being a crazy loon alone on an island for so long, but it was jarring to me how different it was.

I also noticed that Danielle didn't specify whether Alex was male or female. they didn't do that for no reason. heh.

Of course, if they wanted to be consistent with her character (J.J. Abrams, hah), it is so unlikely that any daughter of a French woman shipwrecked 16 years ago would be named Alex. But I guess most other unisex French names would be presumed to be girls by the audience (Daniel, Michel, René, Dominique, etc.).

Also, FYI, although I'm sure that they did it on purpose to remain ambiguous and not because of consistency, a French person would actually be much more likely than an American to use the word "child" rather than specifying the sex.

Who, Me?

There's also the possibility that it was a multi-ethnic research ship, and the 'Robert' was a native english speaker.
