Yes, it's terribly simple. The good guys are always stalwart and true, the bad guys are easily distinguished by their pointy horns or black hats, and, uh, we always defeat them and save the day. No one ever dies, and everybody lives happily ever after.

It was always kind of frustrating waiting for the makeup person to go through all of the "white" bases before realizing that, no, I really am that pale.

"Oh, honey.... That can't be right. Here, I'm a professional, let me find the correct shade for you...."

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

Have not met Liese. However, can comment on the universal desireability of full lips. Go check out the fanfic thread -- I speak nothing less than truth. Also, the 'makeup to hide' a feature never works. I think that goes double when what one is trying to hide is one's whole face. Bleah on that.

Actually in that vein, I wonder whether we will be able to track the deterioration of the grooming situation as we progress past the first week. Charlie's nail polish is still there (mostly), and Shannon lacks not for lip gloss. Also, nobody has bug bites or sunburn. This is truly fantast island.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Thank god for international makeup smugglers.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Well, and you know, it was never done with intentional malice. Of course, I wanted to look beautiful, and beautiful was the lovely blue-eyed blonde with the European features. So that's what was aimed for.

Anyway, thanks for the support, totally not trying to derail the thread.

And that's one of the nice things about the Buffistas, the recognition of human beauty, racial characteristics aside.

Hee. Maybe Sun knows how to make black nail polish out of herbs.

Um, did I mention that the beach they're shooting on is about 200 yards from one of the project sites for my PFH?

You know, I'm going to be in Oahu at the end of the month for a week. Vacationing! My friend who I'm going to be visiting just got a new job so she can't take off during the week and I'll need to entertain myself. I'm thinking stalking the set might keep me occupied.

How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

When I was making icon bases of the last episode I noticed that Claire has some peeling skin/sunburn on her face. That made me happy.

Oh, yeah. I keep meaning to mention, I'm so glad they're shooting in Hawaii. Especially the ocean shots are just so gorgeous. That's the color I believe water should be. Ahhh....

Lisah, to get there, go to the North Shore and take a hard left at Hale'iwa. It's Mokuleia State Beach.

Have bookmarked!

I should find out if my friend has been watching Lost and get her to watch it if she hasn't. She has a great appreciation for the HOTT!T mens also and it might be a fun activity for us to do together.
