On my seventh birthday, I wanted a toy fire truck, and I didn't get it, and you were real nice about it, and then the house next door burnt down, and then real firetrucks came, and for years I thought you set the fire for me. And if you did, you can tell me!

Why do people want to like Boone so much? So far he's been either an asshole or just whiny.

Amen. Dud bitched out the guy who saved his sorry supposedly-a-trained-lifeguard ass from drowning. If I were Jack, when he shouted "who appointed you our savior?" I'd have waved beachward and said "you wanna dive back in? be my guest."

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Boone just seems nice when he stands next to Shannon. But then so would Hitler....

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I don't like Boone. I don't like his sister. I want them both lit up.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I don't like his sister. I want them both lit up.

In the pilot, even her hotness couldn't stop me from wishing her to be monster chow. But now, I find her fairly entertaining in addition to hot, and I'm interested in knowing why she's such a bee-yatch.

I was fine when existence had no meaning. Meaninglessness in a universe that has no meaning -- that I get. But meaninglessness in a universe with meaning? What does that mean?

I love Shannon, but I always like the bitchy characters. I was a big Cordelia fan. Now she started out pretty awful and ended up being kind of cool (my favorite Cordy period was around season three when she was still shallow and bitchy, but helped the gang out) -- maybe Shannon will mature like Cordy did.

So far, the few flashbacks we've seen have led us to sympathize with the person in the flashback. Right now, I can't think of anything that would make me like these two.

Hmm, I know I'd be happy to see her start glowing and get raptured right off the island.

Are you sure you don't mean "raptored" right off the island, Matt?

Sure I went over to the Dark Side, but just to pick up a few things.

There's always got to be at least one bitchy person in a crowd - it'll get boring otherwise. Fans need a character to hate and Shannon gets my vote (for now).

All is well that ends in pizza.

I think I would want to phrase this as "who could be considered unattractively overweight." In Samoa, he'd be a hunka, hunka burning love.
