AND Sawyer would have had to accurately predict how long a cigarette that wasn't being dragged on would burn before catching the actual rocket fuse.
And a smoker stranded on an island with a limited supply of cigarettes -- wasting one? Never happen.
t /still at work & not really here
OMG, Locke is Angel S3 finale Gunn!
You mean S4 finale? Or that he's wandering around with Fred, looking for Connor, Cordy and Angel?
For some odd reason I thought there were only 4 seasons of Angel. Must have had Farscape on the brain.
I think they did the end of the flashback too concretely. I would have liked it better if they had omitted the "I'm walking away from the deal" scenes, and left it unclear whether Island!Sawyer was Flashback!Sawyer or Flashback!Kid, or both, just at different times, and that the regret and self-loathing he felt was justified because he had ruined a family just as his own family had been ruined.
Besides Locke using a knife to shave there was a quick scene last week when Michael was shaving...it was right when, uh, Charlie (?) ran to the beach and said there was a cave in. It looked like he had shaving cream and some kind of razor.
Well, I just want to thank Gawd for radio-controlled model rocket igniter smugglers.
Those "bottle rockets" were huge, btw.
I still hate the Medley Exit, but I have to ask: did anyone identify the song or the singer?
eta: The song was "I Shall Not Walk Alone," by Ben Harper and Blind Boys of Alabama.
I was idly LJ surfing, and just came across this Watch'n'Post style entry of an unapologetically drooly fangirl, which made me laugh and laugh. The bits about the hazard of watching the show with her dad are particularly priceless.
(The second part of the review is about Smallville, in case anyone is into the show/hasn't seen it yet.)
Uh, Locke, I watch tv and I don't know how to improvise a slow fuse.
Oh, wait, now I do. Thanks.
I missed the watch and post, but this is exactly what I said to my friends at home at the time, Zenkitty.
Also, not so thrilled with this ep. I loved the Charlie/Claire bit, and thank goodness that Sawyer didn't burn the letter, 'cause that would have been too hokey. Sayid leaving redeemed it a little, because it's about time someone explored the coast (although I hope he comes back soon, 'cause Naveen=yummy). But why did no one even try asking Sawyer nicely for the medication? I mean, he has shown before that 'please' works when other things don't. I can understand it not being the first resort, but I would have tried it before
torture.
Feh.
I'm sorry if someone else said all of this already. I may have skipped too much of the watch n post.
