Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Oh! Um, it's the end. Okay then.

Sayid lost his shit (possibly made easier because he'd already started down that path again with the torture) and went after Sawyer with intent to kill, although he did pull himself back from the edge in time. Still, I think it was the fact that he nearly killed Sawyer after it was revealed that he didn't have what they were looking for that made him realize he'd broken his vow.

Yes. This was one of the things I was trying to get at, in my bumbling, circuitous way.

It did lower my opinion of Sawyer. I used to guiltily like him but now I just wish him pain. As long as it's quiet like. I just don't want him to get eaten by the Iron Giant because, well, dimples.

it made Sawyer's attitudes/actions *understandable* but in no way excusable.

Nodding like a big old noddy thing.

how they're going to handle beard issues in the series. Are they all going to have castaway beards?
Take knife-shaving lessons from Locke. Actually? I know wimmens isn't supposed to HAVE hair in spots and places, but how long are those women going to run around in sleeveless shirts, hmmm? The shorts and sandals look is gonna get kinda unisex looking, too, unless some importer was shipping a load of disposable razors, and the crate that fell out when the tail section broke off washes ashore.

I didn't get the impression from their conversation that he immediately thought Locke must be right about Sawyer, more that he hadn't previously considered Sawyer at all, and now the seed of doubt has been planted.

Yep. That's what I got, too, and also,

It could be argued that Sayid wanted a reason to beat on Sawyer

and

Sayid was too intent on hating Sawyer to think through it that far. He didn't want to.

This is great. You people are making all my points for me! I just have to quote and nod.

It's only a half-baked theory, about Claire and the island, Sean. And it falls completely apart if anybody remembers, or if there's footage in anybody's flashback of Claire being on the plane.

But she's very young, and pregnant, beautiful, blonde, probably the least threatening person on the island that we know of, with the possible exception of Walt. We do know that one among the castaways wasn't on the plane--no one would suspect Claire because of her appearance. But we've all wondered if a woman that pregnant would be allowed to fly.

And the voice on the looping message was female. I just had a wild thought that Claire might "be" the island. That the child symbolises "new life" brought to the island, in the persons of the castaways. And that the birth of her child may mean...

...I dunno. Like I said, a wild thought.

All is well that ends in pizza.

Maybe Locke has eaten the invisimechanosaurus.

Maybe Locke has merged with the invisimechanosaurus.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

How do we know one of the castaways wasn't on the plane? Was this stated in an article somewhere? (Not doubting the claim, just curious.)

Okay, maybe I made it up, but I thought someone had quoted the producers, maybe JJ himself, that one of the people on the island wasn't on the plane.

If I only had a brain...

The shorts and sandals look is gonna get kinda unisex looking, too, unless some importer was shipping a load of disposable razors, and the crate that fell out when the tail section broke off washes ashore.

And, yo, Kate -- SOMEbody's got a hairbrush. Kiss the woobie again if you have to, but kempt those locks.

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

just had a wild thought that Claire might "be" the island. That the child symbolizes "new life" brought to the island, in the persons of the castaways.

My spec regarding Claire is more commonplace. Well, as commonplace as can be in this freaky-ass island. I think Claire lost the baby post-crash. Baby was effectively dead during the time she couldn't feel it, and when it started kicking again post sea-urchin diet, it was her baby brought by to life by the mysterious forces of the island. Or... it may no longer be *her* baby. Dum dum DUM! t cue Rosemary's Baby/Pet Cemetery theme

Plus, it is a truth unfortunately universally acknowledged that every genre show requires a Miracle Child at some point.

Maybe the first flashback we see of Claire on the plane will show her not pregnant!

"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

AND Sawyer would have had to accurately predict how long a cigarette that wasn't being dragged on would burn before catching the actual rocket fuse.

And a smoker stranded on an island with a limited supply of cigarettes -- wasting one? Never happen.

t /still at work & not really here

OMG, Locke is Angel S3 finale Gunn!

You mean S4 finale? Or that he's wandering around with Fred, looking for Connor, Cordy and Angel?
