Jayne: That's a good idea. Good idea. Tell us where the stuff's at so I can shoot you. Mal: Point of interest? Offering to shoot us might not work so well as an incentive as you might imagine.

Bag the crypto. Say what is on your mind.

Boone isn't growing on me. Stupid kid.

I nearly teared-up during the scene where he gave water to her and she gave him the most-grateful look.

'Suela may not be my True Mate. This is disconcerting.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Aha! She's mine!

Polter-Cow has gone to bed. It is just just you and I, swaying in the moonlight. Sure, you are nekkid, but a I am a gentleman.

...and ... Dip!

All is well that ends in pizza.

Late night thought.

What if the guy who conned Sawyer's parents wasn't named Sawyer, either? He had taken the name Sawyer when it had happened to *his* family. And *that guy* wasn't Sawyer, either...

I think I'm going to start calling him Dread Pirate Sawyer.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Naveen is giving us a deliciously layered Sayid. A Sayid who decided that he did not want to be the sort of person who tortured other people, and who promised himself (or the woman in the picture? or both?) that he would not be that person.

But there is a situation here with a life at stake. Granted, it's SnickerBitch, but still, a life. And their best shot at a leader figure has gone up against the guy who's holding out, and got shut down. Now Jack's going to go at him again, but in a fair fight it's not a sure thing he could take Sawyer. Injured, it's pretty certain he'll get damaged, if not killed. Sayid has knowledge that can save the leader figure both time and pain. It means going back on his promise, becoming the thing he didn't want to be, but there are other lives at stake.

He doesn't decide to go after Sawyer himself, however. He makes the offer to Jack, let Jack have the responsibility to use the weapon Sayid offers. And when Jack says yes, Sayid doesn't hesitate. He uses his training and his experience and he doesn't hold back. He'd have kept going until Sawyer caved, or died.

But he stopped the instant Jack said to. Under orders. The good soldier. Personal feelings aside. Duty. "Go get my bag," and Sayid goes. He doesn't dog it, he runs.

Later, when he's no longer under orders, he's left with what he's done, and his own conscience. And whether or not he can lay the responsibility down again and leave it and become a person who doesn't behave that way.

I love Naveen Williams for the layered and faceted character he's giving us.

And Sawyer? Can be evil or on the side of good, I don't really care, as long as he lives, and grins, and they do closeups of those eyes and dimples. And, you know, torso shots. At this point, although I'm a Matthew Fox fan, I wouldn't care if the mechasaurs ate Jack.

Dom completely sold the peanut butter scene, and he and Claire are adorable together.

Was Claire in any of the pre-crash footage? Because I have a theory about her, the baby coming back to life, and the woman's voice on the transender.

Hey. New board.

I think I'm the world's only Sayid-Claire 'shipper. A 'ship for which I have no canonical backing of any sort, naturally, merely an image in my head that I adore. Maybe I'll write some fic.

I love Claire.

That said, Claire/Charlie is, in fact, the cutest thing in the whole wide world.

I stil like Boone and Shannon, and I still am not sure why. I want backstory on those two, really I do.

Again I agree with Polter-Cow, and thought this episode was awesome. I think I'd have to watch it and Walkabout back-to-back to decide which I like more, honestly.

I think this may trump "Walkabout," actually, because the island plot was far stronger.

Although "Walkabout" had stronger flashbacks and a more visceral OMGWTF moment.

Hm.

That was a great ep analysis from the Sayid POV, Beverly.

The BtVS/AtS mapping going on everywhere is a hoot. Also, I love Foxy too, wish he could at least be Wesley, dammit. But I fear he is indeed R*l*y. crap.
