Angel: Just admit it: you think you're gonna ride in, save the day, and sweep Buffy off her--Spike: Like you're not thinking the same thing. Angel: I'm already seeing somebody. Spike: What, dog girl?

[NAFDA] This is where we talk about the show! Anything that's aired in the US (including promos) is fair game. No spoilers though -- if you post one by accident, an admin will delete it.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

You could look for an existing Lost fansite and see if they're looking for transcripts. (Edit: or willing to host them.)

But the last scene? Even the look on Charlie's face couldn't save it for me. I get it, already.

Okay, Even I kinda thought the very last scene with the moth, and the silly look on Charlie's face was a little much. But I'll wrestle anybody who didn't like the first scene with Locke and Charlie, and Locke's great little speech.

Also, don't aeroplanes carry, like, maps? Because if so, surely between them they can figure out lat and long?

They also carry GPS receivers. I don't know what kind, or if they'd run on batteries, but they should at least check it out.

And really, more than anything, some copper wire and a couple of magnets, both of which should be able to be found in the cockpit, and you've got hand cranked electricity. Maybe only barely enough to power radios and stuff, but there you go. (As DCJ pointed out earlier)

If he can manipulate it, then he's got a power over people they don't even know about.

I hadn't even thought of this option. Have we a wizard?!

I don't think he necessarily needs to overtly manipulate the island to be a wizard. Sometimes a wizard is just a very observant person who pays a lot of attention to the world around him (or her). Someone who sees things no one else sees. Locke certainly qualifies so far.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

You know how Jack was supposed to have been killed off in the pilot? I think that might be the reason he doesn't do things he ought to do - like offering to help Charlie, because it was already part of the plot that Locke would do that. It might also explain the weird yes-no vibe between Kate and Jack, and the weirdness of Kate seeming to be interested in three guys. (Okay, that's not weird, but it's weird for a tv show to not have a clear Romantic Interest and Romantic Foil. It should have been Sayid she was into, and Sawyer she couldn't quite resist.) If Jack originally wasn't there, Kate would have been the Leader, and there would have been tension between Sayid and Sawyer over her. Now they've added Jack into the mix, but didn't really back off of her attraction to either of the other two, so now we have Kate the Romantically Indecisive.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Shrift is willing to post the Lost scripts that I type up on her website (for which I would be grateful). Another option to me is to open a live journal account and post there.

Live Journal would cancel the account if they found out about it. it would violate TOS.

If shrift is offering, that would be my first choice.

Yeah, seriously. shrift's offer is the best of the bunch.

All is well that ends in pizza.

Shriftweb is already known amongst many Buffy, Angel, Wonderfalls, Firefly, (etc.) fans, to begin with, so you have the "known quantity in fandom" factor.

She probably will even set it up as another subdomain, like "lost.shriftweb.org" or something.

Oh, if you get overwhelmed, I'm sure there will be transcripting volunteers coming out of the woodwork for a show that is as popular as Lost.

Sure I went over to the Dark Side, but just to pick up a few things.

Thanks for the comments everyone. I'll stick with shrift's site. As far as transcribing is going, I've already written down all of the first episode and half of the second. They just need to be typed. (I'll be doing some mad transcribing this weekend.)

The only thing missing will be the original Korean when Sun & Jin are talking to each other (I've typed the preprinted translation) and the Korean when they talk to everyone else and the translation of that. If anyone speaks Korean...

Beathen, you may want to talk to Vonnie.
