Matt's scenario cracked me up.

I've just finished watching the pilot, and all of a sudden the thread title is making a lot more sense. OMGWTF indeed.

Bag the crypto. Say what is on your mind.

Must post and run. Off to spread the word on the Anvil of the Year Nominations

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Oh dear. The Spuffies seem to have found a new lease on life—I'm seeing a rising tide of "That BITCH Kate! How dare she be mean to/not want my woobie Sawyer?!? Beneath his gruff exterior beats a heart of a bloody awful poetgold. She doesn't deserve him anyway!" all over the internet's Lost sites.

It took Spike over three years to become the Misunderstood Bad Boy/Woobie poster child... I think Sawyer may be setting a new record.

Oh fuck me sideways.

Kawyer? Sate? Kateyer?

Nah, it won’t go long. The mushed-names don't work.

I think they have interesting chemistry/snipeistry (though Kate works best with Sayid if a pairing is required), but isn't it a little early in the series to be demonizing Kate for not prostrating herself before his matchless godly appeal?

Where was the cold fist of doom that should have closed around my heart when I agreed with others that Sawyer was striking me as very reminiscent of Spike?

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

HA! This cracks me up. I mean, I knew Woobie!Sawyer brigade would come sooner or later, but wow, is this fast. Just wait until we get Sawyer's back story coming Wednesday. If there is any hint that Sawyer has been abused/mistreated/traumatized in any way, Sawyer Redemptionista Club won't be far ahead.

Someone should do a list of crazy fandom political issues, since the same stuff keep coming up over and over again. I'm pretty sure "The bitch hurt my woobie and she must die!!1!" pre-dates Spuffy by several decades.

I am probably the only person in the world who wants Kate to get the message that none of these guys we have met so far are firing enough neurons for her.

Sure, Sayid is not completely braindead. He still has a rather advanced case of testosterone induced dunderhead-itis.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Huh. That's...odd. I mean, considering that the Lostverse has all of 8 DAYS of canon.

Personally, I find Kate irritatingly self-righteous for someone wanted by the federal government, and so I quite like watching Sawyer act like an asshole around her. And I think he'll turn out to be smarter than he's shown so far, but not nicer.
