And it wasn't as bad as some of the handwaving I've seen on Farscape, so I suppose I could just let it go. But I really did have a sort of "What the hell is going on with the baggage screeners over in Australia????" moment.
Which is funny, seeing as how we're not all that great with our screening either.
Of course, my boss just volunteered me to work tomorrow.
I sincerely hope you gave him a nice "shove it up your ass" look as you said "yeah, sure.... I'll come in."
Well, if they were coming from Asia, it makes some sense they would be bringing fireworks--kinda like watches from Switzerland.
I want to add that Naveen Andrews is so handsome, he literally takes my breath away in some scenes.
Really, despite the promos which were all Sawyerly I want next week to be about Sayid -- you opening with him opening his eyes after having been knocked out.
That would be a great opening.
When I had a friend over to watch, she hadn't seen the show, and the first moment she saw Andrews, she sat up in rapt attention and said, "Preeeeeetty!" :)
Given the title of next week's episode, I'm pretty confident we're dealing with Sawyer.
Heh. Just looked in at TwoP where they've picked up on PhoneBone's review and are now refering to Jessica as "Watercooler Wife" as if it were a proper name.
While I don't subscribe to the rampant Kate-bashing over there, the running cross-country to rescue Dr. Jack from a cave-in since it wouldn't occur to anyone else to dig him out was really over the top. To the point that I found the scene with the sling, which should have been merely good common sense in action, cloying and anvilicious instead.
I think my wish for a future episode of the show is this: Kate and Jack are sitting all close together around the romantic campfire. He talks about how he thought he was a goner in the cave, and how the thought of the effort people went to in order to save him touched him. He says he has something to ask her, and then just as the visions of china patterns engraved with KATE&JACK4EVAH!!! are dancing in her head, Jack asks "Do you think I have a shot with Charlie, or would he freak out if I hit on him?"
I didn't think Kate was running to rescue Jack, I assumed she was running because she cared about him and he had been buried in a cave-in.
The only reason she freaked at the cave was because from her POV, no one *at that point* looked like they were doing anything. She had no Idea exactly what had happened, she was pumped up on adreneline, and all she saw was inaction.
Yeah, but I kinda like Matt's scenario.
Matt's scenario cracked me up.
