Well, I haven't seen the episode, but I'm thinking that a little bit of overkill is understandable considering OMGWTF POLAR BEAR.

I was thinking that Sawyer's hoarding might indicate that he'd done time, or perhaps is ex-military.

I kind of get an ex-military vibe from him too, probably because of the hoarding.

Though one would imagine that if he was ex-military, he would have known how to kill the marshall, even if it wouldn't necessarily have been any easier.

I was thinking Driveshaft was a new band, but maybe not one that's at the top of the charts, so Driveshaft being just a teeny bit HCL-ish.
