Lost: OMGWTF POLAR BEAR
[NAFDA] This is where we talk about the show! Anything that's aired in the US (including promos) is fair game. No spoilers though -- if you post one by accident, an admin will delete it.
So, who whacked Sayid on his pretty noggin?
Prime candidates would be Locke and Sawyer, but we saw Kate's designated flash go off, which means Sawyer actually manned the post and did what was required. I don't think he could have sprinted fast enough to where Sayid was to knock him out.
Locke has the motive (not wanting to get off the island) and opportunity (was alone in the jungle post-boar kill.) Although, did anyone tell Locke about Sayid's plan?
Or it could be someone on the island who was *not* on the flight.
We don't know where Sawyer was, or even if he set off his flare (though I'm not sure who else would have). We only saw the flare go up.
Was I the only one who thought, "Mmmm. Heroin-smoked barbecue"?
Charlie says "I'm a bloody rock god" and the cave collapses? I'm thinking the wish fullfillment thing may be the way it's going to go somehow.
Ha!
I thought it was Locke, too, but then he showed up at the caves. I don't know where Sayid was in relation to the caves. I also thought Sawyer, but his flare went up. So...maybe he has superspeed.
Definite Oasis reference.
This episode was kind of meh, really. Dom did a great job, and I liked the advancement of his drug storyline, but I am
so
over KaTeNJacK4evAH.
And how about that mothaphor?
We don't know where Sawyer was, or even if he set off his flare (though I'm not sure who else would have). We only saw the flare go up.
I was thinking this, too. But who else would have shown up to do it? They wouldn't know exactly where Sawyer was, so I'm thinking it had to be Sawyer who set it off. Darn.
I would imagine we will get the Sawyer episode. Soon would be nice. Shirtless would be nicer.
Kathy, my bad no sleep memory remembers Jack and Charlie fighting in the cave with Charlie feeling unappreciated. Flashback to Charlie in a church confessional telling the priest about his trists with groupies. He decided he must leave the band for the sake of his soul and leaves confessional to find his brother Liam! slounging in the pew with a recording contract in his hand. Not sure of the sequencing so much.
edit, oh and duh, the cave collapses and Charlie gets out, but Jack is trapped.
Was I the only one who thought, "Mmmm. Heroin-smoked barbecue"?
No you were not.
i LIKE sawyer. Okay, capslock, but I'm leaving it. I DO like Sawyer. He was trying to do the right thing and Kate cut him down pretty hard. He gets his spite up easy, but I'm intrigued by his assertion that had Jack spent a little longer on the island Kate would see there wasn't much difference between Jack and Sawyer.
I don't want him sacrificed to Our Hero's sense of justice.
Back to the Viggo thing--it's the way he moves, that long-limbed grace, and the head-tilt, lead-with-the-chin 'tude.
RackimfrackimSayidisdamnyummytoobut DAYum I'm liking me some Sawyer.
Oooh, religious!Charlie? No wonder he's willing to bond with his new father confessor, Locke.
It actually looked like the fighting was over inhalers, int the preview.
Things I liked about this episode: Shannon gets it right! Sun takes off her sweater! Michael saves the day! Hurley hugs Charlie! Charlie goes to confession! OMGWTFSAYID!!!!!!
Things I disliked: the anvil-shaped moth in Charlie's last scene. They do like to make the endings a little more sappy than I'd prefer, it seems. I didn't really mind that Charlie asked for the drugs a final time, since it pretty much had to happen so he could get rid of them, but the moth... oy.
I'm betting Claire took out Sayid. You read it here first, folks!
Ooh, Ashtareth, I love your new tag.
Show of hands for people who were listening real close after that second "and right after that"...
t raises both hands
Charlie says "I'm a bloody rock god" and the cave collapses?
Nice catch, Frank!
I think Locke is our Loki.
What has he done, though, that would mark him as a trickster? I suppose turning Charlie into boar-bait would fit the bill, but otherwise...? I'd cast Sawyer in that role before Locke, though he's not a perfect match either. But I'm thinking of the comparison someone here made last week: Sawyer as Tom Sawyer, who is definitely a trickster.
Uh-oh, at next week's preview. I mean, I like Kate and all, but three guys fighting over her would be a smigden too much.
Vonnie, I figured they were ganging up on him to get Shannon's asthma meds, and his insulting/macking on Kate was secondary to the more important business of saving Shannon's life.
