Oooh, religious!Charlie? No wonder he's willing to bond with his new father confessor, Locke.

Lost: OMGWTF POLAR BEAR
[NAFDA] This is where we talk about the show! Anything that's aired in the US (including promos) is fair game. No spoilers though -- if you post one by accident, an admin will delete it.
It actually looked like the fighting was over inhalers, int the preview.
Things I liked about this episode: Shannon gets it right! Sun takes off her sweater! Michael saves the day! Hurley hugs Charlie! Charlie goes to confession! OMGWTFSAYID!!!!!!
Things I disliked: the anvil-shaped moth in Charlie's last scene. They do like to make the endings a little more sappy than I'd prefer, it seems. I didn't really mind that Charlie asked for the drugs a final time, since it pretty much had to happen so he could get rid of them, but the moth... oy.
I'm betting Claire took out Sayid. You read it here first, folks!
Ooh, Ashtareth, I love your new tag.
Show of hands for people who were listening real close after that second "and right after that"...
t raises both hands
Charlie says "I'm a bloody rock god" and the cave collapses?
Nice catch, Frank!
I think Locke is our Loki.
What has he done, though, that would mark him as a trickster? I suppose turning Charlie into boar-bait would fit the bill, but otherwise...? I'd cast Sawyer in that role before Locke, though he's not a perfect match either. But I'm thinking of the comparison someone here made last week: Sawyer as Tom Sawyer, who is definitely a trickster.
Uh-oh, at next week's preview. I mean, I like Kate and all, but three guys fighting over her would be a smigden too much.
Vonnie, I figured they were ganging up on him to get Shannon's asthma meds, and his insulting/macking on Kate was secondary to the more important business of saving Shannon's life.
Shannon's the asthmatic? I thought it was Boone. Ha! Oh man. An episode dedicated to saving Shannon's life. This'll go over great.
RackimfrackimSayidisdamnyummytoobut DAYum I'm liking me some Sawyer.
Ayup. There is no shortage of the pretty Beverly.
It might be a good plan for me to plan a Lost marathon prior to next week. There have been damn few clues as to Sawyer's story that I have noticed, but I am willing for the sake of research to watch him closely and see if I missed something. Sensitive lad.
but I am so over KaTeNJacK4evAH.
Well, except that Jack is really not interested in her at all. I may be setting myself up for disappointment here, but I hope Jack turns out to be gay. Come on, there's got to be at least one queer person on the island!
Dude, with the taunting, acting assholetastic, making of the hurty face when rejected by Kate, and the head-tilting, Sawyer's reminding me of Spike even more. Color me disturbed.
Charlie's back story was rather predictable--I mean, it's difficult to live up to the HSQ of Kate was a Convict! or Locke was a Paraplegic! or Sun was a Mafioso Daughter and Can Speak English! but, I don't know. It lacked... stuff. And I'm wee bit uncertain as to why Charlie suddenly went from "You're a junkie and you're ruininig our band!" to "Drugs! Oh, well, I'll try it, I guess."
Shannon actually did her part! Surprse, surprise. I liked that.
I'm betting Claire took out Sayid.
Snerk
Perhaps next week is a Shannon story week that will give her some redeeming value.
Oh I forgot about Sun and her sweater. She was clearly using her resolve voice so I expect the sweater to stay lost. Looking forward to the speaking English reveal.
Jack is happily asexual. I'm not getting a read off him with anybody--Kate, Boone, Shannon, Hurley, Charlie, Sawyer, Sun, or Sayid.
The only vibe I'm getting is JackNIsland4EVah.
I may be setting myself up for disappointment here, but I hope Jack turns out to be gay.
There's been spec to that effect, yes.
Oh! And how much did I love that Sawyer was still reading Watership Down? SEVENTEEN MUCH.
