How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

I believe they were cousins, and though that's not incest in some countries, the odd looks they got when they were recovered implied that their rescuers considered it incest. (On edit: I think the viewers were intended to see it that way.)

Nora, I missed that. What did he say?

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

when Jack noted that one of the skeletons in the caves was a female, (after Kate initially discovered the skeletons, post-bee attack) Locke said something like, "our very own Adam and Eve."

Here's the bit about it from the TWOP recap:

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

That's a great article, Barry! Best picture of Sawyer so far (he looks good without the sneer), and I really like what he says about Charlie being his favorite character. He makes the good point that, so far, Charlie has managed to weasel himself into almost every major plotpoint discussion/event that has happened. I think that's a sign that the writers really like the character, and are planning on involving him more than they had originally intended.

Considering that they've already customized the role for Dom Monaghan, it also reflects well on his acting skills. I really thought that he was the hobbit that would suffer the Mark Hamill career path, but he's showing real talent here (loved when he saw his guitar last week).

Bag the crypto. Say what is on your mind.

Thanks for the article link, Barry. I wanted to argue almost every point the guy made, and reached for my tin-foil hat during the attempt to set up the Claire-as-fertility-goddess/Messianic-Locke connection, but I suppose that is all part of making an interesting article.

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

I liked the idea of paired monsters. We'll just have to wait and see whether that is the direction the writers have gone.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Damn, that was a good picture of Sawyer.

Considering that I've been to the Mark Twain caverns (all they need is a minotaur--seriously), I can't believe I forgot about the Tom Sawyer--caves connection. Hmm.

All is well that ends in pizza.

I can't believe I forgot about the Tom Sawyer--caves connection. Hmm.

Something pinged me with Tom Sawyer on first viewing, but I dismissed it as too obscure to mention.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

While i disagree in a number of places with the author of that article, the article did drive home why Lost is so popular. It pings not just one, but lots of our mythologies. Adam and eve, gilligan's island, tom sawyer, swiss family robinson, watership dwn, lord of the flies, land of the lost, the undiscovered country, the new world, etc
