That's a great article, Barry! Best picture of Sawyer so far (he looks good without the sneer), and I really like what he says about Charlie being his favorite character. He makes the good point that, so far, Charlie has managed to weasel himself into almost every major plotpoint discussion/event that has happened. I think that's a sign that the writers really like the character, and are planning on involving him more than they had originally intended.

Considering that they've already customized the role for Dom Monaghan, it also reflects well on his acting skills. I really thought that he was the hobbit that would suffer the Mark Hamill career path, but he's showing real talent here (loved when he saw his guitar last week).

While i disagree in a number of places with the author of that article, the article did drive home why Lost is so popular. It pings not just one, but lots of our mythologies. Adam and eve, gilligan's island, tom sawyer, swiss family robinson, watership dwn, lord of the flies, land of the lost, the undiscovered country, the new world,etc

Me too! I haven't seen Party of Five in years, but I think it's more that Matthew Fox hasn't been in anything since (short-lived Fox show notwithstanding).

I still don't get that reviewer's Hurley hate. But I was fascinated (this is from the first article, actually) by the idea that that at least one person on the island may not have been on the plane. That could be interesting.

Heh, I should admit that I didn't actually read the reviews ... I just looked at the pretty pictures and linked to the clip. But now I'm glad, because I would not have enjoyed the hating on Hurley.

Oh, yeah ... the dead people talking to him show. I think I watched a couple of those. I can't remember much about what I thought of it. I think it didn't strike me as horrible or great ... middle of the road. And then, it was gone. I'm glad MF (quite the acronym) has found himself a new and at least season-long home. I enjoy him.
